Donovan Mitchell has been a sleeper MVP pick and bona fide superstar for years now, but somehow, he always seems to slide under the radar of the NBA talking heads. The working man’s superstar has always gotten the prime time treatment from adidas, though, and this season, he’s already rolling out PE pairs on the new DON Issue 8.

A Jayhawk Issue

Mitchell debuted the adidas DON Issue 8 Kansas Jayhawks PE on the court in Cleveland this week, ditching his alma mater, the Louisville Cardinals, for a rival bird. Skipping over a Lawrence debut for a trip to the ‘Land, the colorway is a clean mix of blue, red, and yellow, with black details.

The adidas DON Issue 8 Kansas Jayhawks PE starts with a blue toecap to match the blue midsole, and then evolves into a two-tone blue and red mesh base, with mostly blue on the lateral side and mostly red on the medial side. The midfoot stabilizer is red encased in yellow, with more yellow on the heel and black on the lace panel and ankle collar.
