As companies around the industry bring out flag-themed colorways for the World Cup, adidas is adding to its global City Series with a Japan-themed two-pack that doesn’t have anything to do with the beautiful game.

Two Sides of the Globe, Inspired by One Japanese City

The adidas Osaka Japan City Series brings together sneaker boutiques from across the globe to put their own spin on the Osaka theme, tapping Japan’s Billy’s and the UK’s size? to continue their City Series partnership. Taking on the Athen silhouette from the City Series archives, the two-pack collection features completely different colorways, both with Osaka branding, one designed by Billy’s and the other designed by size?.

On Billy’s pair, the Osaka theme takes on the neon vibes of Shinsaibashi’s local streetscape, starting with navy blue suede with white accents on the tongue, heel tab, and laces, with blue, white, and red Stripes on the side panels. The size? colorway switches things up with a sandy tan suede base with a red heel tab and jade green Three Stripes branding. On both pairs, Osaka in written in Japanese in gold above the Three Stripes branding.

The adidas Osaka Japan City Series will be released June 12, 2026 through Billy’s and size? in-store and online, with each shoe available exclusively through the collab shop.
