The Pokémon craze that started in 1996 has never let up, as the Japanese franchise, spanning trading cards, video games, TV shows, and movies, continues to be a cultural heavyweight. When it comes to their footwear output, Pokémon has ventured across the industry, working with Crocs, Clarks, Puma, and Converse in recent years. For 2026, the franchise will be partnering with adidas for the first time since their 2020 clothing capsule, though this time it will feature multiple sneaker collabs to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Over 14 sneakers are featured in the Pokémon x adidas capsule in addition to matching clothing. Pokémon characters include Mewtwo, Pikachu, Charizard, Charmander, Charmeleon, Rayquaza, Gengar, Gastly, and Haunter, with most characters getting multiple silhouettes. A range of silhouettes are used to bring the Pokémon to life, from lifestyle staples like the Samba and Superstar to mesh runners like the ZX 8000, Adistar Control 5, and more.
The Pokémon x adidas 30th Anniversary Collection will be released in September 22, 2026 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store.
