If we’re picking the GOAT basketball player based on their performance in the Space Jam franchise, sorry, LeBron, Michael Jordan has you beat. Neither were nominated for an Oscar for their performances, and honestly, their acting across the board hasn’t been the greatest, but we definitely have fonder memories of the OG Space Jam thanks to MJ’s choice of kicks. After catching wind that we’d be getting retro releases of the Space Jam Air Jordan 9 and Space Jam Air Jordan 11, retailer images of the latter have emerged.
Air Jordan 11 Space Jam Details
Jordan Brand keeps things identical to the last retro of the Space Jam 11, which was back in 2016, as the silhouette features the higher-cut patent leather and the same exact colorblocking we’ve come to expect from the colorway. Blacked-out patent leather and ballistic mesh cover most of the upper, while a royal blue Jumpman is embroidered on the lateral collar. Back on the heel sits an embroidered “23,” which is decidedly different from the branding seen on previous retros and the pair MJ rocked in the film. Last retro, the “23” was stamped on, and previous releases (and MJ’s in-film pair) featured “45.”
However, there is a detail from the OG that has returned for the first time since its 2000 release: the “Jumpman Jam” text on the tongue. It usually reads “Jordan Jumpman,” but with this now an official tie-in with the Space Jam film to celebrate its 30th anniversary, it makes sense to revisit this easy-to-miss detail. Finishing the sneaker is the white Phylon midsole and an icy blue rubber outsole. Though not pictured here, the packaging will feature Space Jam co-branding and nods to the film's 30th anniversary.
Air Jordan 11 Retro Space Jam Release Details
The Air Jordan 11 Retro Space Jam will be released December 12, 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $235 for adults.
