There really isn’t a better color combo on Air Jordans than black and red, is there? Every year around playoff time, MJ would bust out a new Bred rendition from his signature sneaker line, with these colorways going down in the annals of sneaker history as some of the most coveted shoes of all time. Even decades removed from his last shot as a member of the Bulls (let’s forget the Wizards days, shall we?), Jordan Brand is able to craft new black and red versions of Air Jordan sneakers. Next up is the Air Jordan 12 in the all-new Bloodline colorway, which somehow already has some history behind it.

You might be wondering how a brand-new Air Jordan 12 color can have a history that goes back a few years when it hasn’t even hit retail shelves. Well, if you were locked into the sneaker scene in 2024, you may remember that initial reports of this Bloodline colorway emerged. The color was slated to be released in Spring 2025, but due to public outcry that it wasn’t the coveted Flu Game colorway, Jordan Brand scrapped the release and gave us another Flu Game retro.

The Bloodline colorway wasn’t going away forever, as Jordan decided to push it back to the Summer 2026 season, keeping the same design details that were set to be included in the planned 2025 drop. The silhouette comes primarily blacked out, with pops of metallic red found on the eyelets and the Jumpman-branded TPU overlay on the midfoot. The photos here don’t reveal the heel, but it’s likely that there are more red details on the branding of the pull tab. Finishing the design is the black midsole with a red Jumpman wrapping up from the outsole to the toe.

Also, we want to clear something up for our readers who may be members of the WWE Universe: this is not in association with Roman Reigns or the Bloodline faction. Jordan Brand has previously used the Bloodline moniker for a new black and red version of the AJ 1 High from 2019, and more recently, used the title for a Jordan Luka 4 and Jordan Luka .77.

The Air Jordan 12 Retro Bloodline will be released Summer 2026 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is set at $215 and $155, respectively.
