If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times: it doesn’t matter how nice an arena Steve Ballmer builds or how much money (over and under the table) he pays Kawhi, Los Angeles is a Lakers city. Case in point, Jordan’s All-Star Weekend drops in LA this week include a Lakers-colored Air Jordan 4, releasing earlier than previously expected.

We got an in-hand preview of the Air Jordan 4 Lakers colorway at the Jordan Brand House in Inglewood, and if you’re a Lakers fan, Kobe fan, or just like good sneaker colorways, this one is a must-have.

Covered in plush purple nubuck across the entire upper, the midsole mixes grey, black, and cream for a classic look, with more black on the lace wing, sockliner, and laces, and more grey on the webbed plastic eyelets at the top and bottom.
