College programs have been intertwined with footwear for decades, with Nike even crafting an entire pack of Dunk colorways under the Be True to Your School banner. While the Dunks included pairs for Kentucky, Michigan, UNLV, Syracuse, St. John’s, Villanova, and Iowa, Nike went the extra mile for Georgetown, creating the Nike Terminator specifically for the DC-based university. Today, Georgetown is firmly entrenched in the Jordan Brand family after signing a deal with MJ’s label in the 2010s, leading to several player-exclusive kicks and unofficial colorways that the public has had a shot at. Next up for the latter is the Air Jordan 4 Retro Georgetown.

Air Jordan 4 Retro Georgetown Details

While we knew that a Georgetown-inspired AJ 4 was on the way, we finally have a first look at the sneaker thanks to retailer images emerging. The colorway isn’t too far off from the initial mock-ups, with the Georgetown 4s taking inspiration from the school’s PE Jordan 4 that was given to student-athletes in 2019. To differentiate the school’s PE from the retail version, Nike has made a few changes. Both pairs feature a grey nubuck suede on the paneling, but the retail version swaps out the navy wing support overlay for a greyscale finish. Navy hits on the wing eyestays of the retail pair replaces the speckled finish on the PE, with the heel tab on the retail pair also opting for a similar navy look.

However, the PE used a Jumpman and a contrasting speckled cement finish on the heel tab, while the retail version opts for Nike Air. There’s still a speckled finish on the tab, though it is done in a tonal navy that blends in. The Georgetown reference on the inside of the tongue is replaced with the traditional “JORDAN” text, and the school’s logo on the tongue tag now features a Jumpman. Down below, both contain a speckled midsole, with the retail version hosting just navy paint, while the clear outsole is replaced with a semi-translucent grey and a solid navy rubber.

Air Jordan 4 Retro Georgetown Release Info

The Air Jordan 4 Retro Georgetown will be released February 27, 2027 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $225.
