It’s almost graduation season. No, not the beloved Ye album, the actual act of taking a step into the real world and leaving school behind. It’s a scary moment, but memorable for sure, and even more so when you’re wearing a great pair of kicks. If you’re not trying to stand out from the rest of your graduating class, you can stay subtle with the Cap and Gown Air Jordan 6.
Jordan Brand has a history of giving retro Air Jordan sneakers blacked-out makeovers that go perfectly with the cap and gown outfit, first dropping the Air Jordan 11 Cap and Gown in 2018 and then a year later releasing the Air Jordan 13 under the same name. While both of those shoes featured patent leather panels, perfect for that dress shoe vibe, this AJ 6 opts for ashy black suede.

That material covers most of the panels on the sneaker, with the midfoot trimmed by 3M reflective hits. Light grey accents appear on the Jumpman logos on the neoprene tongue cover, lace lock, and on the trim of the heel spoiler. Below that car-inspired spoiler is black Nike Air embroidery. Finishing the design is the black midsole with grey accents near the toe and heel, and the visible Air unit in the heel.
The Air Jordan 6 Retro Cap and Gown will be released April 30, 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at 215 (men), $155 (GS), $95 (PS), and $85 (TD).
