If you’re going to welcome the Las Vegas Aces into your home arena, you'd better bring your best. Monday night, Dallas did just that, beating the brakes off of the reigning WNBA champs in a Commissioner’s Cup tournament game, as Wings star Arike Ogunbowale dropped a game-high with 22 points, 5 threes, and one new pair of Kobe PEs.

Kicks for the Cup

Arike Ogunbowale’s latest Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE was made specifically for the occasion, perfectly matching the pink accent shades of the Commissioner’s Cup tournament game ball. Featuring a shade so pale it's hard to tell if it’s off-white or pink on the stabilizing panels on either side of the toe, the lace panel, and the heel, the toebox and side panels switch to the same rosy shade as the Wilson logo on the game ball.

A darker shade of pink is added to the sockliner, the Kobe sheath logo on the tongue, and the border of the white Swoosh on the side panel. The midsole switches from white at the forefoot to pale pink at the midfoot and heel, matching the upper and the laces.

Arike Ogunbowale’s Recent Nike Kobe 5 PE Run

The Arike Ogunbowale Nike Kobe 5 Protro Pink PE is the second personalized Kobe 5 PE we’ve seen from Ogunbowale in the last month. We’re not expecting to see either pair hit retail anytime soon, but with Caitlin Clark retiring her Kobe PE run for her upcoming signature shoe, it looks like Nike has found a new focus for the Mamba line in the W.
