The Jordan Design Studio is getting some of the industry’s best mentors this year. In a series of Instagram posts, heavyweights from the sneaker and streetwear industry like Chris Gibbs from Union and Angelo Baque from Awake NY announced that they would be joining the Jordan Design Studio team to help guide the next generation of young designers.

Angelo Reveals Multiple Samples

In Baque’s welcome post, he gave us a look at his history with Jordan Brand, including pink baby 5s, multi-shade blue 6s, a custom Yankee jersey, and most importantly, a newly revealed Air Jordan 5 collab sample that seemingly takes inspiration from the Statue of Liberty.

Featuring the lightest possible shade of mint green on the toe and front half of the mid-foot panel, the back transitions to pebbled white leather. The sole mixes three shades of minty green with a grey and black speckled hit on the jagged accent.
