Spider-Man Shoes

Step aside The Odyssey, the real heroes are here to play. This week, Spider-Man swings back to the silver screen with Tom Holland’s portrayal of Peter Park, and if you thought Christopher Nolan’s latest film was breaking the box office, wait until the numbers come in for Marvel's Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Projections have it crossing the $400 million mark over the opening weekend, making it the largest opening-weekend release of 2026 so far.

While we love to look at the box office and will be heading to our local multiplex to catch Spidey on the big screen, sneakers are our main focus on Sole Retriever, and with great power comes great responsibility. To celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we’re looking back at the best Spider-Man sneakers of all time. This list is in no particular order, but if you feel like we missed out on one, head over to our Instagram and sound off.

Honorable Mention

Nike Flightposite Green Goblin

Spider-Man kicks extend to the villains he faces, right? While technically not a “Spider-Man” sneaker, the Nike Flightposite Green Goblin deserves to be mentioned for the simple fact that Willem Dafoe wore the Flightposite when depicting Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s OG Spider-Man film. The shoe was obviously modified for the movie, but the colorway that was used as the base for the custom kicks is available to the public.

For Miles Morales’ first adventure on the silver screen, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Jordan Brand teamed up with the franchise to create an Air Jordan 1 High that would be featured in the film. Miles rocked the Origin Story Air Jordan 1 on the poster and in the movie itself, and the colorway launched to the public on the same day Into the Spider-Verse hit theaters on December 14, 2018.

Jordan Brand again teamed up with the Spider-Man franchise to celebrate Miles Morales’ next film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, on an Air Jordan 1 High colorway. The pair takes inspiration from the Chicago Air Jordan 1 High and adds graphics and finishes inspired by the animation style of Miles Morales.

Aside from two player-exclusive sneakers we’ll discuss later, this is probably the rarest pair of Spider-Man sneakers in existence. Spoiler alert for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, but in the final moments of the film, Miles Morales sees himself as the Prowler on Earth-42, and he’s wearing an Air Jordan 1 High Utility. The pair was created in real life for friends and family of Jordan Brand and the studio behind Across the Spider-Verse, limited to just 100 pairs.

Before being selected number one overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2026 NBA Draft, AJ Dybantsa was just a friendly neighborhood college superstar taking the court in Spider-Man-inspired kicks. The futuristic Nike GT Cut 4 served as a canvas for Dybantsa to portray his love of Peter Parker, applying a Spider-Man red shade to the lateral side and Venom black on the heel that eventually overtakes the entire medial side.

A week before debuting his GT Cut 4, AJ Dybantsa showcased his GT Cut 1 Spider-Verse PE, which took inspiration from Miles Morales’ Into the Spider-Verse and a Spider-Man basketball his dad gifted him as a child. Though not a traditional red and blue colorway you’d expect from a Spider-Man sneaker, the pair is clearly paying homage to Gwen Stacy with its white, pink, and blue color scheme.

Ronnie Fieg’s love of Marvel was brought to life when Kith and Asics teamed up on a slew of sneakers with Marvel. The pack honored X-Men heroes and villains and Spider-Man and two of his enemies, Green Goblin and Venom, on colorways of the GT-2160. If you wanted to cop the Spider-Man-specific colorway, you had to purchase a two-pack, which also came with the Venom sneaker, but Green Goblin fans were able to get his shoes separately.

BAPE STA Spider-Man

A Bathing Ape has dropped multiple Marvel sneakers over the years, and Spider-Man has been part of many of these drops. Most recently, Spider-Man appeared on a BAPE STA in 2022, though the very first instance of a Spider-Man BAPE STA dates back to 2005. Colorful patent leather and images of the comic book hero make it one of the best homages to Peter Parker.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro Spider-Man

We’re not throwing our opinion out there regarding Andrew Garfield’s depiction of Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man, but there was a great pair of sneakers released by Nike as an unofficial homage to the second and final film in the series. The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Spider-Man dropped just a month before The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hit theaters, with the pair using a blue-to-black-to-red graphic on the upper.

adidas Ultra 4D Spider-Man

Spider-Man is not brand loyal in the slightest, and much like the hero's odd status as an asset owned by Sony Pictures for use in film but leased to Marvel, Spidey has officially worked with adidas multiple times. Marvel, which is owned by Disney, works with The Three Stripes on continuous kids collections that are readily available, but every once in a while, they drop some heat like the Ultra 4D Spider-Man. The pair was made in celebration of the PlayStation game Spider-Man 2, and features a partial Venom takeover from the 4D midsole to parts of the red and blue upper.

adidas Ultra 4D Mid Spider-Man

Even rarer is the adidas Ultra 4D Mid Spider-Man, which was also released to commemorate the second Spider-Man video game from Sony. It was limited to 10,035 numbered pairs, an homage to Miles Morales’ Evolved Suit, an unlockable style in the game. Miles wears the kicks when you unlock the suit, with the shoes featuring a white, red, and blue color palette.

adidas DON Issue 6 Across the Spider-Verse Pack

Donovan Mitchell has gone by the Spida nickname for years, and of course, he has tied his adidas signature sneaker to the actual Spider-Man multiple times. Four colorways of his DON Issue 6 were released in November 2022, months before the actual Across the Spider-Verse film hit theaters, in colorways paying homage to the movie. Included in the four pack is a pair for Spider-Man, one for Spider-Punk, another for Gwen Stacy, and of course, Miles Morales.

adidas DON Issue 8 Spida-Man

Though not an official collaboration with Marvel, the adidas DON Issue 8 Spida-Man is a clear homage to Peter Parker. Donovan Mitchell debuted his eighth signature sneaker in this colorway, and even recreated the iconic pointing Spider-Man meme to help promote the release of the shoe.

Puma Suede Miles Morales

Probably the most subtle Spider-Man collab on this list is the Puma Suede Miles Morales. If you didn’t see the Miles Morales graphic on the insole, the Marvel tag on the tongue, or the Spider-Man emblem on the heel, you’d think it was just a red, white, and black pair of Suedes. The pair was released alongside other Marvel superhero sneakers, including Black Panther and Blade, and the cartoon depictions on the insole of all three come from The Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder.

Vans Slip-On Spider-Man

Vans paid tribute to the cartoon depiction of Spider-Man on a pair of Slip-Ons back in 2018. The colorway plastered the low-top shoe with Spidey in action wearing his red and blue suit, while the insole features the Marvel Studios comic book graphic you see at the start of every MCU film.

Crocs Classic Clog Spider-Man

Crocs are the king of collaborations in the footwear world, and so it’s no surprise they landed a Marvel Spider-Man collab multiple times over the years. While there have been four other Spider-Man Crocs from over the years, the most recent is the clear winner with its forefoot mimicking Spidey’s mask and eyes.
