Boyz II Men celebrated the MLB All-Star Game in their hometown of Philadelphia, not far from the block of Broad Street where the street signs have been switched to read Boyz II Men Boulevard. On the field in South Philly, the New Jack Swing stars carooned the crowd wearing PE pairs of the Air Jordan 11. Now, turns out that the on-field pairs were a little more than a one-off.
A Little East Coast Swing
In a new YouTube video, Boyz II Men debuted six samples of their Air Jordan 11 collab, all featuring a rippling sound wave design on the one-piece toebox and side panels. The pairs all bring different versions of black and white base uppers, with accent takes on plaid, polka dot, and more sound wave designs to represent the group’s history on the sockliner and ankle collar, and Boyz II Men branding on the tongue tag and insoles.
Two pairs with white soundwave uppers feature more soundwave graphics on the ankle collar, one with blue and the other in black. A white pair with blue plaid on the ankle collar features an icy blue sole, and a second plaid pair features the first pop of black on the lace panel and more black on the plaid ankle collar.
Finally, the polka dot pairs feature a classic Concord-style mix of black on sound wave paneling and white above it, with black and white polka dots on the sockliner, while the last pair keeps it clean in all white with black branding and black polka dots on the ankle.
