Sit back and relax, it’s time for science class courtesy of streetwear label Brain Child. For the Boston-based brand’s first collaboration with Reebok, Brain Child is recreating the Cosmic Reef with two pairs of DMX Series 3000 colorways. What does that mean, exactly? Well, uh, we’ll let Brain Child explain it.
Welcome to the Cosmic Reef
“Both the Red and Blue Nebula come together to create the Cosmic Reef phenomenon, a collection of stellar nurseries and regions of intense star formation,” Brain Child wrote on Instagram. “Within the Cosmic Reef, new stars are born to become some of the most vibrant and colorful astronomical entities in space, spanning light-years across.”

After getting an ultra-limited release of the Red Nebula colorway of the DMX Series 3000, the new social media post finally revealed the Blue Nebula colorway. Featuring a blue and yellow gradient across the upper, the toe and heel are blue with a slice of yellow right in the middle. The structure of the shoe is black for some contrast, with Brain Child co-branding on the heel panel and insoles.
