The Los Angeles basketball scene underwent some major changes this NBA offseason with LeBron James leaving for the Philadelphia 76ers. On the WNBA side of things, the outlook is just as grim, with the LA Sparks currently 10-16 and sitting 11th overall in the league. If the team was able to get some more production out of Cameron Brink, they might be in a better position, but even if the stat sheet isn’t looking all that great, we know she’ll have some heat on feet thanks to her New Balance deal. After helping debut the P400 Low earlier this year, Cam is getting her own colorway of the model and a New Balance 740 as part of the Malibu Melt Pack.

Cameron takes inspiration from Los Angeles, specifically the sunny tones and glowing sunsets, and what the city means to her for both her P400 Low and 740. Starting with the P400 Low, the mesh and leather panels are coated in a single pink hue, with pops of purple and gold for the LA Sparks on the “N” logo and lace lock system. On the top portion of the tongue, the leather panel turns cream to match the sockliner, while the “NB” logo is adorned in a metallic gold hue. Underfoot sits a pink foam midsole with a purple and gold gradient in the center portion and a pink rubber outsole.

Moving to the lifestyle side of things, Cameron Brinks’ New Balance 740 is more direct in its sunny references thanks to the yellow hues that coat most of the upper. Solid yellow hits appear on the leather panels along the forefoot, but as you move back, pink and purple hues begin to appear. On the midfoot N logo, New Balance applies a dark purple shade that matches the hue used on the “ABZORB” logo on the sole unit and the “NB” logo on the heel tab. Underfoot sits a cream midsole and a yellow outsole.
