Carhartt WIP and Nike Reunite at Australia’s SURPLUS Festival

Oh yeah, it’s definitely festival season. After plenty of lines, fights, and sneaker of the year debates in Los Angeles, and endless collab previews coming out of Tokyo, the sneaker and streetwear scene is touching down in Australia for another installment of SUPPLY’s SURPLUS Festival.

A High-Profile Collab Down Under

Just like last year, the SURPLUS event is bringing out a heavy-hitting collab, with the event’s title sponsor, Nike, teaming up with Carhartt WIP for an exclusive clothing capsule. In the same fashion as last year, the collection features T-shirts and hoodies featuring massive Nike Swoosh logos overtop small, subtle Carhartt WIP branding. Beyond the SURPLUS-specific collab, Carhartt’s streetwear line and Nike are getting together to drop a pack of collab Air Max Goadome Low colorways, with pairs almost certainly popping up early at SURPLUS.

As for the clothing, the collection is broken down into two color combos: black gear with classic orange Nike Swooshes, and white and grey snow camo with more orange on the Swoosh. A leather varsity jacket goes triple black, and a white T-shirt reverses the camo color onto the Swoosh, but otherwise, the graphics are a pretty standard co-branded hit, with a clear focus on the double logo mix.
