Civilist Berlin is Bringing the adidas ZX 8000 to the Skate Industry

Berlin skate shop Civilist doesn’t have many sneaker collabs in its archive, but the pairs they have made are grails. Starting across the ocean in Beaverton, the brand’s rave-inspired Nike SB Dunk Low and Nike Air Force 1 with thermal color-changing uppers, not to mention a 2013 premium black Nike SB Dunk High. And then, of course, there’s a local relationship with the folks at adidas, resulting in a 2024 ZX 6001 collab.

Smiley Face Style

Now, for its latest partnership, Civilist is reviving its raver-themed smiley face logo for a new Three Stripes collab that brings the ZX line into skateboarding. Seen in just one zoomed-in image of the outsole, the instantly recognizable Torsion support system easily pegs the pair as a ZX 8000.

Using the same graphic from its thermal Nike SB Dunk Low collab, a yellow smiley face with Civilist written upside down as the mouth sits in the see-through section of the heel. We still don’t have a full look at the shoe or the colorway, but in the comments, Civilist tagged adidas Skateboarding and adidas Originals, suggesting some skate-friendly suede and cushioning changes might be coming to the legendary silhouette.

Civilist x adidas ZX 8000 Release Details
