Adding a little more pressure to the run-up to the game, Arkansas freshman Darius Acuff Jr. just brought more attention to his incredible team-leading season, announcing a signature sneaker deal with Reebok.

Acuff Jr. and Reebok announced the deal Tuesday morning, with Shams Charania of ESPN reporting that the deal marks the first time an NCAA player has signed a deal for a signature silhouette with a major US sneaker brand while still in college.

Following up the ESPN report, Reebok posted a photo of Acuff Jr. to Instagram with a caption in bold print reading “Acuff 1 On the Way” below a Reebok logo. Reebok has stormed back into the signature sneaker game lately with the help of Angel Reese, and Acuff Jr.’s shoe will be the brand’s first sneaker for an active NBA player since John Wall.
