New Issues on the Way: Donovan Mitchell Signs an Extension with adidas for At Least Two More Shoes

Donovan Mitchell is one of the NBA’s unsung superstars. The perennial All-Star has spent his career split between small-market teams in Utah and Cleveland, and despite his consistently incredible stats and recent playoff runs, he’s fallen short of the Finals and the career boost that comes with it. But in the signature sneaker realm, Spida Mitchell is a superstar on par with the biggest in the game.

Donovan is Going for 10

Fresh off the debut of his eighth signature silhouette, the adidas DON Issue 8, ESPN insider Shams Charania reported that Mitchell and adidas have agreed on a multi-year extension that will see the Three Stripes continue the DON line with the DON Issue 9 and DON Issue 10, with more shoes potentially on the horizon after that.

Beyond his signature sneaker collection, Charania reported that the new deal will continue Mitchell and adidas’ work with his former high school, Greenwich Day School in Connecticut, to “provide students from underserved communities with access to educational resources.”

The DON is Back
