Before signature star-specific tours sent All-Stars like James Harden and Steph Curry to China for shoe tours, Nike hosted traveling off-season stadium events to showcase the brand’s basketball talent, and Swooshman - a superhero mascot covered in Nike checks - was the ultimate hypeman. 30 years after the $125,000 (yes, you read that right) mascot suit debuted, Nike is giving Swooshman his flowers with a GT Future colorway in his heroic honor.

The .SWOOSH x Nike GT Future Swooshman was first previewed last month, and now we’ve finally got official images of the colorway. The gradient colorway starts with icy blue on the outsole that creeps onto the bottom of the wavy armored upper. The blue transitions to grey and then white by the time it reaches the ankle collar. The Swooshes on the medial toe and lateral heel are done in red, matching the massive Swooshes sticking out from the OG Swooshman costume. Finally, we see nods to the Swooshmah himself with a custom logo featuring his helmet on the tongue and insole.
