Every Sneaker Steph Curry Has Worn in Sneaker Free Agency
Updated on •PublishedQuick Facts
- Now that Steph Curry is a sneaker free agent he can wear any sneaker he wants
- We've rounded up every single pair he has worn in his free agency
- This list will update in real-time as he wears more shoes
- We've also included predictions on what the Sole Retriever staff expects Curry to rock in the future

When Steph Curry signed a lifetime deal with Under Armour in 2023, no one would have predicted that only two years later we’d see him lacing up Nike sneakers in an NBA game. That alternate reality has become the one we occupy, as earlier in November Curry and Under Armour announced that Steph and his Curry Brand would be separating from UA. Now that he’s a sneaker free agent, Curry is able to wear any brand on and off the court, and he’s been busy gathering all the sneaker Infinity Stones he can.
No sneaker free agency since Kobe Bryant’s 2002-03 NBA season has been as high-profile, meaning we’ll all be keeping a close eye on the shoes Curry laces up each night. He has already made it clear that he’s open to wearing any brand at the moment, even stating in a press conference, “Everybody should be on alert. I’m calling everybody. Trying to get some good product.”
At the time of this article’s inception, Curry has been liberated from his UA contract for about two weeks, but we’ll use this page as a running resource for all the pairs Steph wears during his free agency. Below is every single sneaker he has been spotted wearing that is not Under Armour. Alongside documenting his choices, the Sole Retriever staff have come together to predict which pairs he could bust out during each of Golden State’s upcoming games. Don’t agree with our guesses? Sound off on our Instagram or X with what you think Steph will be wearing.
Sneakers Worn by Steph Curry
Nike Kobe 6 Protro Mambacita
The first sneaker that Steph Curry wore after announcing his departure from Under Armour was an homage to Kobe and GiGi Bryant. Curry laced up the Nike Kobe 6 Protro Mambacita in pre-game warm-ups before switching to his Under Armour sneakers.
Reebok Shaqnosis Black White
Steph choosing to rock a Reebok Shaqnosis ahead of his matchup against the Orlando Magic started the trend of paying homage to the franchises he faces each night. Of course, Shaquille O'Neal is a legend of the game and of the Orlando Magic, making his tunnel fit choice perfect.
Nike Air Penny 2 Black Volt

After entering the Magic’s arena in a pair of Shaqs, Curry decided to switch to another Orlando legend’s sneakers for warm-ups. He laced up Penny Hardaway’s Nike Air Penny 2 in the Black Volt colorway.
Li-Ning Way of Wade 1 Stingray
The Golden State Warriors’ road trip in Florida also saw the franchise stop in Vice City to face off against the Miami Heat. Steph saw it fit to pay homage to Dwyane Wade with a pre-game tunnel walk featuring the Way of Wade 1 Stingray, a pair that was recently retroed by Li-Ning.
Nike Air Foamposite One International Blue

Technically Steph didn’t wear this sneaker in-game, during warm-ups, or even a tunnel walk, but it’s still noteworthy to mention he laced a pair of the Foamposite Ones in the International Blue colorway. Curry was spotted during a team meeting with the sneakers on, but he really wasn’t trying to draw attention to his footwear choice that day.
Air Jordan 3 Retro Oregon Ducks PE
Steph’s one-year $62.6 million extension is being put to great use for his sneaker collection. The Davidson College alum decided to rep some Oregon Ducks gear with the Air Jordan 3 Retro Oregon Ducks PE, a pair that’s valued at over $8,000 on the aftermarket.
Li-Ning JB 4 Batman
Marking the first time since signing with Under Armour in 2013 that Steph Curry wore a non-UA sneaker in a game, number 30 decided to lace up teammate Jimmy Butler’s signature sneaker with Li-Ning, the JB 4, in a Batman colorway. Butler has referred to Steph as the Batman to his Robin, and in the Warriors’ season opener he wore a pair of Robin-inspired JB 4s.
Air Jordan 12 Flu Game
Steph took a few not-so-subtle jabs at the Utah Jazz during the Warriors' matchup against the franchise. In his tunnel walk, he wore the Air Jordan 12 Flu Game, the same black and red sneaker worn by Michael Jordan in the NBA Finals against the Jazz in ‘97 when he suffered flu-like symptoms.
Air Jordan 14 Last Shot
Continuing with the jabs at the Jazz, Steph also wore the Air Jordan 14 Last Shot, choosing to do so during warm-ups. If you’re unfamiliar with the significance of that colorway (why would you be?), MJ decided to wear the AJ 14 in his final games as a Chicago Bull in the NBA Finals against the wishes of Nike and Tinker Hatfield. His last shot taken as a member of the Bulls was in the now-iconic black and red Air Jordan 14 against, you guessed it, the Utah Jazz.
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Mocha
The staff predicted that Steph would wear something in homage to the Rockets, like the T-Mac 3 Restomod Rockets, or the KD 4 Aunt Pearl for Durant, he went off the court for his hat tip to Houston. Curry wore a pair of Travis Scott Jordan 1 Lows in his pre-game tunnel walk. More specifically, the OG Mocha colorway.
Puma Hali 1 Hibiscus
After he entered the Warriors arena in the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low, Steph swapped into fellow Team USA gold medal winner Tyrese Haliburton's Puma Hali 1 in the Hibiscus colorway. Not only did he wear the pair for warm-ups, but he also kept them on for the game against the Rockets.
Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 550 Natural Green
Unfortunately, Steph Curry suffered an injury during the game in which he wore Tyrese Haliburton's Puma Hali 1, so we won't be seeing him lace up sneakers in-game for at least one week. However, he's still traveling with the team and was spotted rocking the Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 550 in the Natural Green colorway. We predicted he could potentially lace up a Chris Paul signature sneaker, a PE, or Zion's Jordan sneaker as the Warriors are playing the Pelicans.
adidas Harden Vol. 10
In pre-game warm-ups, Steph laced up James Harden's new signature model, the adidas Harden Vol. 10. Interesting to see Curry finally rock some Three Stripes after heavily leaning on Nike and Jordan Brand.
Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove
Well... for once we got a prediction right! Alongside our guesses of the Shai 001, SB Dunk Low SuperSonics, or a Russell Westbrook Air Jordan 3 PE, we thought a nod to SuperSonics legend Gary Payton was in order. And that's exactly what Steph did, as he was spotted behind the scenes wearing the Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove. Luckily for Steph and the rest of us, Nike is bringing back the sneaker next year.
Nike Vomero Premium
While he didn't lace up for the Golden State Warriors' match-up against the 76ers, Steph did rock some comfort-focused heat off the court. He was spotted in the Nike Vomero Premium, the latest entry in Nike's illustrious Vomero series and one of the most comfortable sneakers on the market.
CLOT x adidas AE 1 Low
At first glance, this clip of Steph Curry may bring back memories of Kobe Bryant jumping over an Aston Martin in Nike Hyperdunks. It's gotta be edited right?? Nope. Steph launched a full-court shot from the entrance of the tunnel and hit the nearly impossible bucket while wearing the ultra-exclusive CLOT x adidas AE 1 Low.
Nike Air Garnett 3
Arriving to the Warriors' arena to face off against the Timberwolves, Steph Curry showed love to NBA legend Kevin Garnett with his sneaker choice. He laced up a pair of KG's Air Garnett 3s. It's time for a retro don't you think?
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Velvet Brown
As the Golden State Warriors loaded onto the plane to take them to Portland to face the Trail Blazers, Steph Curry was spotted wearing Travis Scott's Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG in the Velvet Brown colorway. A great choice if you're heading towards Nike HQ if you ask us.
Nike Air Max Rise Brandon Roy PE
Going from ultra-mainstream Travis Scott Jordans to a sleeper hit like Brandon Roy's Nike Air Max Rise PE is something only Steph Curry or PJ Tucker is able to do. Steph was spotted with the retired NBA star's Air Max Rise PE ahead of last night's matchup against the Trail Blazers, where Roy spent the majority of his career.
Nike A'One Sunshine
To warm up against the Trail Blazers, Chef Curry swapped out of Brandon Roy's PEs into a pair of A'ja Wilson's Nike A'Ones. More specifically, he wore the Sunshine colorway.
Nike Kobe 4 CHBL
Keeping up with the golden yellow color palette that matches his Warriors jersey, Steph laced up the Nike Kobe 4 Protro CHBL after warm-ups. Channeling his inner Black Mamba and rocking the Kobe 4 was most definitely the correct choice as Curry went 12 for 19 from three and dropped 48 points on the Trail Blazers.
Marni x Hoka Bondi B3LS
As he entered the arena to face off against the Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker, Steph Curry stayed comfy in Marni's Hoka Bondi B3LS collab.
Chevy x Nike Book 1
The Sole Retriever staff (and probably everyone else on planet Earth) correctly predicted that Steph would wear Devin Booker's signature sneaker as he faced the NBA superstar. In pre-game warm-ups, he laced up Booker's Chevy collab colorway.
Nike Book 1 What The
Once it reached game time, Curry swapped out of the Chevy Book 1s into one of the most limited colorways yet, the Book 1 What The. It'll be the second-to-last colorway released before the public has a shot at the Book 2 next year.
Satoshi Nakamoto x Spunge Osmosis
Before the Warriors would face the Suns for a rematch, Steph Curry pulled up to the arena in Salehe Bembury's Spunge Osmosis silhouette. More specifically he rocked the colorway made in collaboration with Satoshi Nakamoto. What stood out the most was Steph wearing the Marty Supreme windbreaker, which has been spotted on just about every celebrity over the last few weeks in promotion of the upcoming film starring Timothée Chalamet.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro USA PE
After dreaming big like Marty Supreme in the tunnel, Steph decided to channel his own Mamba Mentality when he laced up a pair of Nike Kobe 6 Protros in a USA PE colorway.
Nike Air Foamposite One Royal
Like last time he visited Orlando, Steph Curry paid homage to Penny Hardaway by rocking the Nike Air Foamposite One. He wore the sneaker during his tunnel walk, switching his pair two more times throughout the night.
adidas T-Mac 3
Tracy McGrady also got another shoutout from Steph as the Warriors star laced up the adidas T-Mac 3 for warm-ups.
Li-Ning JB 3 Snake Spirit
Once it was time for tip-off, Curry once again swapped into a different pair of kicks. Instead of paying homage to Orlando Magic legends, Steph matched his teammate Jimmy Butler by wearing Butler's signature sneaker with Li-Ning, the JB 3, in the same Snake Spirit colorway.
Reebok Question Mid Kobe Bryant PE
Quite a fitting homage don't you think? Steph decided to bust out the Reebok Question Mid Kobe Bryant PE, a pair that Kobe wore during his iconic sneaker free agency, in the tunnel ahead of the Warriors' matchup against the Mavericks.
Nike Hyperdunk Steph Curry PE
Steph wearing Nike is still a strange sight to see, but there was a point in time where he was getting his own player-exclusive colorways from the brand. In warm-ups on Christmas Day, Curry wore one of his old Hyperdunk PEs.
ANTA KT 11
Once the game actually started, Steph paid respects to his former splash brother Klay Thompson by rocking his signature sneaker, the ANTA KT 11.
Nike NOCTA Glide
As Steph entered the arena to face off against the Toronto Raptors, he made sure to represent a hometown hero of The 6 by rocking Drake's Nike NOCTA Glide. Drake famously gave a nod to Curry on the song 0 to 100/ The Catch Up, saying "I been Steph Curry with the shot, been cookin' with the sauce, Chef Curry with the pot."
Nike Kobe 11 Northern Lights
Another Kobe tribute from Steph, this time the Warriors guard decided to bust out a pair of Nike Kobe 11s. The colorway, Northern Lights, was worn by Bryant in his final All-Star game in 2016, which took place in Toronto.
Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pearl
Steph channeled his inner Jesus Shuttlesworth in Brooklyn by rocking the Air Foamposite Pro Pearl. If you're somehow unaware, Ray Allen starred in the film "He Got Game" in 1998 alongside Denzel Washington where the NBA star played the character of Jesus Shuttlesworth, a basketball prodigy from Brooklyn.
SLAM x Nike Sabrina 2
Once it was time for tip-off, Steph swapped his Jesus Shuttlesworth sneakers for an ultra-rare pair of kicks, that being the SLAM x Nike Sabrina 3. The colorway was made to commemorate the magazine's 30th birthday in 2024.
Air Jordan 6 Retro Carmine
Even when Steph Curry is not in an NBA arena, we're still on #CurryWatch. Steph recently went to his alma mater, Davidson College, and wore a pair of Air Jordan 6s in the Carmine colorway. It's a full-circle moment, as Steph was photographed wearing the pair during his college days.
Under Armour Curry Series 7 Unrivaled PE
For the first time in weeks, Steph laced up a pair of Under Armour sneakers in-game. For his matchup against the Charlotte Hornets, he wore a colorway of the Under Armour Curry Series 7 that perfectly matches the team's colors. What's even better is that the pair is actually a player-exclusive for Unrivaled, the 3v3 women's basketball league.
Reebok Angel Reese 1 Receipts Ready
Facing off against the reigning NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, Steph Curry busted out a pair of Reebok sneakers. More specifically, he wore Angel Reese's signature sneaker in the Receipts Ready colorway, but he sat out the game and only wore them on the bench.
Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low Lenticular
Ahead of his game against the Utah Jazz, Steph Curry was spotted in the tunnel wearing the Lenticular colorway of Kobe Bryant's Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro WNBA
Continuing the Black Mamba energy to warm-ups, Steph was spotted in the Nike Kobe 6 Protro in the WNBA colorway.
Air Jordan 4 Retro Black Cat
Steph Curry entered the Clippers' arena and ran into Snoop Dogg for a quick interview with NBC Sports while wearing the Black Cat Air Jordan 4.
Jordan CP3.VII Nitro
After just 16 games, the Los Angeles Clippers sent Chris Paul home and cut him from the roster. Shocking to say the least, but apparently behind the scenes things had become messy. He was already planning on retiring after the season was over, but the organization he called home for many years, and returned to in the twilight years of his career, cut that short. In a tribute to Paul, Steph wore the Jordan CP3.VII in the Nitro colorway, a Japanese exclusive that dropped in 2013, for warm-ups.
Nike Kobe 4 Protro Gold Medal
Another Kobe tribute from Steph, he laced up the Nike Kobe 4 Protro Gold Medal when it was game time.
AND1 Tai Chi
This one is honestly a surprise that no one was going to predict. Steph laced up the AND1 Tai Chi, a favorite of the legendary Vince Carter, as he entered the arena to face off with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
adidas Exhibit A Candace Parker PE
For warm-ups, Curry swapped his AND1 Tai Chi for a Candace Parker adidas PE, more specifically, the adidas Exhibit A she wore in 2021.
Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Wolf Grey
Once it was time for jumpball, Steph decided to once again put some minutes on the court in a Nike Kobe silhouette. He kept it light by lacing up the Kobe 9 EM Low Wolf Grey, part of the Team Bank Pack of Kobe 9s that dropped at the end of last year.
DaDa CDubbz Chrome
Paying homage to the visiting Sacramento Kings, Steph Curry laced up a pair of Chris Webber's DaDa CDubbz in the ultra-rare Chrome colorway.
Li-Ning JB 3 Samba Dancer
Once it was game time, Curry swapped out of his chrome kicks for a pair of teammate Jimmy Butler's signature sneakers. More specifically, he went back to the Li-Ning JB 3 and pulled out the Samba Dancer colorway.
Nike Air Diamond Turf
Deion Sanders didn't spend a minute on the basketball court as a professional athlete, but his influence has been felt in the NBA for years. This has even reached Steph Curry, who wore Sanders' Nike Air Diamond Turfs.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro Caitlin Clark PE
Well you can't play basketball in a pair of Diamond Turfs. Swapping out his football shoes for basketball kicks, Curry paid tribute to WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark by wearing her Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE. The pair was actually the most-worn sneaker by minutes in the NBA in the month of December.
Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 2010
In his tunnel walk, Steph rocked one of the best New Balance releases from last year, the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 2010. Joe even shouted out Steph on his social media after the pictures made their way online.
Nike Sabrina 3 Steph Curry PE?
It looks like Steph may be getting closer to signing with Nike. During warmups, he wore a custom pair of Nike Sabrina 3s in Golden State Warriors colors with his number 30 added to the heel. While they might just be a Nike By You, he's consistently wearing Nike more and more often.
Nike Sabrina 3 Steph Curry PE (again)
Back-to-back games rocking Nike Sabrina 3s has to mean something, right? Well, Steph once again took the court in a Nike By You pair of Sabrina Ionescu's, albeit a different color than the one he wore earlier in the week.
Reebok Pumps
Another fitting tribute by Steph. This time, in the tunnel of his home arena while the Hornets were in town, he laced up a pair of Reebok Pumps just like his dad Dell did during his days playing for Charlotte.
Nike Sabrina 3 Steph Curry PE (Third Times the Charm)
Once it was game time, Curry swapped out of the Pumps and put on a third custom pair of Nike Sabrina 3s with his number 30 attached to the heel. Clearly he has love for Sabrina's signature sneaker with Nike.
Devin Booker x Nike Blazer Low
Before facing off against the Miami Heat, Steph decided to shout out Devin Booker with his choice of coat and his sneakers. The sneakers were quite obvious as they were the Campfire Orange colorway of Booker's Nike Blazer Low collab, but the coat was a bit more subtle if you weren't paying attention. Both Devin and Steph wore the same checkered coat with orange lining on the same night.
Way of Wade 12 Obsidian
After taking off Book's Blazers, it was time to lace up some real hoop shoes, Steph chose Dwyane Wade's Way of Wade 12 in the Obisdian colorway.
Nike Shox BB4
Steph's fitting tributes through sneakers continued when the Toronto Raptors made a stop in the Bay Area. In the tunnel, Steph wore a pair of the Nike Shox BB4, a sneaker forever tied to Raptors legend Vince Carter. The pair is also expected to return later this year for all of us to cop.
On Roger Pro Fire
Ok... this is probably Steph's oddest choice thus far in his sneaker free agency. He swapped out the retro performance basketball sneaker, the Shox BB4, for a pair of modern tennis shoes by On. More specifically, Steph wore Roger Federer's On Roger Pro Fire.
ANTA SV Ecolsion Type2
Smart choice Steph, smart choice. Curry swapped out of the Roger Federer tennis shoes for an ultra-packed performance basketball sneaker from ANTA, the ANTA SV Eclosion Type2.
Nike Zoom Flight V
We all wish the Zoom Flight V, a sneaker forever associated with Jason Kidd, would get a retro, and Steph probably agrees too. Prior to the Warriors' arrival in Dallas, Curry was spotted rocking the sneaker
ANTA Hélà Style Roots & ANTA Kai 3
Kyrie Irving has been sidelined all season due to a torn ACL, meaning we have yet to see the new ANTA Kai 3 hit the NBA floor. Steph asked Irving permission to rock his newest signature sneaker, and entered the Mavs arena in a pair of ANTA Hélà Style Roots with the Kai 3 in-hand. He would swap out the lifestyle sneaker for the performance-oriented Kai 3 before entering the game.
adidas Crazy Energy Plus
Steph Curry debuted a new sneaker on the court on Sunday. No, not his final signature model with Under Armour, the Curry 13, which is expected to be released in February, but a brand-new inline adidas performance model. The Crazy Energy Plus is the latest in the Crazy line, derived from the design language of Kobe Bryant's signature line from way back when, with this particular model debuting later this spring.
adidas AE 1 Low Year of the Snake
While the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrates the Year of the Horse, Steph Curry is looking back to last year with his most recent footwear choice. Both he and Anthony Edwards were out of last night's Warriors vs. Timberwolves matchup, but Steph paid homage to Ant-Man on the bench by wearing the adidas AE 1 Low in the Year of the Snake colorway.
(Boneless) Timberland 6-Inch Boot
Curry has mostly chosen to wear performance basketball sneakers or retro classics in his tunnel walks, but his footwear in Utah came as a surprise to many. With the temp hitting around the 40s, Steph decided it was "brick" outside, as they say in NYC, and laced up a pair of Timberland boots. No, not the Louis Vuitton collab that you'd expect from the multi-millionaire. He wore the dreaded "boneless" Timbs. This version is labeled as the "Classic" boot, but the one everyone adores is the "Premium" version.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro Sail PE
LeBron famously said he could play basketball in any sneaker, even a workboot, but Steph knows better than to risk injury in a pair of Timbs. Once it was game time, Curry broke out a pair of Nike Kobe 6 Protros in a familiar Sail colorway. The pair looks almost identical to the All-Star 2.0 colorway that dropped in 2025, but it's actually a player-exclusive version that Vanessa Bryant and a select few athletes were given. Unlike the All-Star 2.0 variant, this one keeps the standard faux snakeskin upper.
Li-Ning Way of Wade 12 Liberty
Midway through the Warriors vs. Jazz game, Steph swapped out of the Nike Kobes for a pair of Li-Ning sneakers. More specifically, he laced up Dwyane Wade's Way of Wade 12 in the Liberty colorway.
Loewe x On Cloudtilt 2.0
While Steph previously laced up a pair of Roger Federer On sneakers for warm-ups in a bizarre moment, he finally rocked a pair of On runners for the correct occasion. His pre-game outfit before facing off against the Detroit Pistons featured a pair of Loewe x On Cloudtilt 2.0s.
Nike GT Cut 3 Turbo JuJu Watkins PE
Once it was time for warm-ups, Steph ditched the On sneakers for a pair of Nike GT Cut 3 Turbos. Not just any regular GR colorway, but the JuJu Watkins player-exclusive variant.
