Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of cool shoes with stash pockets in the tongue (mostly meant for greenery) and more influenced by alcohol brands, most notably the Nike SB Dunk Low Heineken and Newcastle, and the Jager SB Dunk Hi. This pair fits both categories, but is nowhere near cool.

Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of Fire

The Fireball Sneaks are the latest pair of fly-by-night sneaker industry co-opting from a major corporation, bringing Hot Wheels energy to a pair of high-tops that look like a drunken attempt to recreate a Nike Dunk High. Featuring a mix of red and black with flame graphics on the side panels, the pair adds an extra-tall padded tongue with more flame graphics and a Fireball logo on the lateral ankle.

Of course, America’s favorite brand of cinnamon whiskey and whiskey-dupe malt liquor shots has no true interest in sneakers, and at the end of the day, the high-top drop is simply a marketing tool to highlight the brand’s new 4-shot Stash Flask sold in a squishy pouch (you know, the same form factor as those squeeze pouch toddler foods). The extra-tall tongue features a zipper at the back made specifically to fit the flask, so you can sneak it into a concert, ballpark, or anywhere else you may want some liquid courage.
