Skater Ish Cepeda’s Gas Giants Brand Teases a New Balance Numeric 306C Collab

The skateboard industry is all about evolution. Skaters establish themselves under big, recognized brands, and then, eventually, the creative bug hits, and a departure leads to the creation of a new brand. After a few cycles of board releases and video drops, the cycle repeats itself.

For Ish Cepeda, his Gas Giants brand was started while he was riding for April Skateboards. Since his departure, though, Cepeda has slowly started to roll out Gas Giants as a board brand, adding a new dimension to the solar system-inspired company. In addition to his solo endeavors, Cepeda is getting plenty of support from his shoe sponsor, New Balance Numeric, including an upcoming collab.

The Gas Giants x New Balance Numeric collab was previewed by Cepeda on Instagram last week with a zoomed-in photo of a Gas Giants logo on the tongue of a shoe that looks to us like a Jamie Foy 306C signature model. The 306C would make sense considering Cepeda and Foy’s close friendship and longtime Florida ties. In addition to the white Gas Giants tongue tag, the upper is covered in white pebbled leather, with a black tongue featuring a Saturn graphic in the middle. The preview also shows a blue hit lower on the upper and two-tone black and white laces, but so far, that’s about it.
