In the ever-evolving world of high-fashion sneaker collaborations, most of what we see is runway-ready product that is crafted months before previews and only shown to the public when it’s ready to be seen. For Goyagoma designer Traiceline Pratt and collaborator Sean Kim, the process is just as important as the final product.
A new preview posted to Instagram shows an upcoming Goyagoma x Nike Air Max 97 colorway, but instead of dropping a final product alongside a shiny ad campaign, Pratt and Kim let us all in on the design process itself, inadvertently announcing the collab with a work-in-progress look at a triple-black AM 97 with open paneling, premium materials, and a new take on the Swoosh placement.

“(Sean Kim) and I have been putting in some work together, but instead of showing a final and finished product, we thought it may be best to show the work that has been going on behind closed doors at this rough and unfinished stage,” Pratt wrote on Instagram. “How even the slightest and tiniest change of details can make a huge difference.”
