GTA 6 Launch Trailer Still

It doesn’t feel real to say, but we’re only weeks away from Grand Theft Auto 6. The long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s GTA 5 is finally hitting shelves, even if those game cases only come with a code to redeem it digitally. Rockstar Games has really ramped up the marketing over the last two months, giving us a 26-minute Extended Look at gameplay, revealing multiple merch drops, announcing a 34-track album with original songs for the game, and real-life tie-ins with the city of Miami and the Miami Heat. With exactly 34 days to go before gamers across the globe become shut-ins to experience a modern take on Vice City, Rockstar has released what is likely the final trailer for GTA 6.

Revealing yet another original song for the game, the GTA 6 launch trailer debuted a new track, “Flower in a Hurricane,” which features Justice, Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The score is perfect for the Bonnie-and-Clyde-esque story being told in Grand Theft Auto 6, with many shots in the trailer showing the connection between the two playable characters in the game, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.

Aside from the beauty shots of Vice City and the variety of NPCs that occupy the world, we get to see Jason and Lucia in action, as well as some of Duval’s backstory. He was once in the army before being dishonorably discharged, which led him to a life of crime. A phone call from a correctional facility connects Jason with Lucia Caminos, and from there we see a montage of moments from the game.

When Does GTA 6 Release?
