There are plenty of accounts online that archive the sneaker industry's past and present, but one of the best is Hartcopy. The Instagram page-turned-book-maker helps present new products to the world while also digging deep into the archives of brands to showcase some forgotten footwear. In 2024, Hartcopy earned itself an official adidas collab on the BW Army, and the following year, they teased us with a polka-dot-covered Adizero Evo SL. Now, out of nowhere, they just dropped two new colorways of their simple BW Army project.
Posted early this morning for us in the States, but a decent enough hour for those in Europe, the latest renditions of the Hartcopy x adidas BW Army keep the same colorblocking and construction as the original.
Suede and leather cover the sneaker that was once worn by the West German army, with one pair opting for a black color scheme and the other in a tannish-grey hue. Both feature a cream hue on the sockliner and insole as well as Hartcopy’s signature red stitching detail near the lateral toe. Finishing the sneaker is the Hartcopy logo on the insole of the right shoe and the gum rubber sole unit.
The latest Hartcopy x adidas BW Army colorways were released early this morning in Europe via Hartcopy’s site. Retail is set at £113 (approx $150 USD). Sam Le Roy, one of Hartcopy’s co-founders, mentioned in his Instagram post that “rest of the world watch this space. If you miss out on the Hartcopy site, all hope’s not lost just yet,” so expect a wider drop sometime in the future.
