The New Balance 1890 has been making its way through the Boston-based brand’s most celebrated collaborators since the day it debuted with the help of Action Bronson. In addition to the Baklava pairs, the silhouette has already been touched up by Joe Freshgoods and Stone Island. Now, the latest collab brings out another heavy hitter with as little flair as possible.

JJJJound Stays Subtle

The JJJJound x New Balance 1890 Pack has popped up in a couple of previews over the past month or so, and now, the Montreal brand is getting set to drop the two-pair collection before the month is up. Keeping the collection in line with JJJJound’s subtle history, the pack could easily be mistaken for inline pairs if you didn’t know better.

One pair features a two-tone upper with a white base covered by silver teardrop paneling on the toe. The “N” side panel logo adds a mix of black and yellow for a bit of a pop, but otherwise keeps the white and silver blend. The second colorway is a blacked-out pair with a white tongue and white laces for a bit of bright contrast. JJJJound branding is added on the insoles and in tiny lettering at the lateral heel.
