Jordan Brand Global Footwear VP Dominique Debnam Debuts a New Silhouette: The Jordan Vail

At the Black Footwear Forum in Detroit, Michigan, over the weekend, Jordan Brand’s VP of Global Footwear, Dominique Debnam, sat on a panel with The Whitaker Group founder James Whitner to discuss powering the sneaker community through collaboration, but beyond the insightful conversation on stage, the internet was more concerned with Debnam’s shoes.

Jordan’s Latest and Greatest

Debnam popped out in Detroit wearing a never-before-seen Jordan silhouette in classic black and red Bulls colors called the Vail. Featuring a textured one-piece upper in red with dark red accents striping diagonally towards the loose black bootie-style cradle for the foot. It’s hard to see specific details from the on-foot photos, but it looks like the laces wrap around the back to tie up at the heel.

As soon as the shoe popped up online, the one-piece upper with a black bootie underneath and a triangular shape at the vamp immediately brought up comparisons to adidas basketball shoes like the Harden Vol. 10 and the AE 2 and 3. We still haven’t seen official images of the shoe, so we’re still waiting on technical and performance details.

Jordan Vail Details
