The line between sportswear and high fashion is often just a label. On the 1970s era German Army Trainer silhouette, that’s pretty much all that separates the adidas BW Army and the Maison Margiela GAT. But what if adidas added in a fashion-forward collab of its own?

The Kith x adidas BW Army is the latest collaboration between Ronnie Fieg’s NYC label and the German sportswear giant, bringing a bit of streetwear high fashion to the endless comparisons between the BW Army and Margiela’s most famous sneaker. So far, we’ve only seen one image of the upcoming collab, posted by Ronnie on his IG Updates channel, but from what we can see, the colorway is certainly bringing luxury to the lifestyle silhouette. Previously, Fieg and Kith tapped Clarks Originals and adidas for a three-way collab that added Clarks’ crepe sole unit to the BW Army in an exclusive drop for Kith loyalty members who reached Vitality status.

Knowing Ronnie’s rapid-fire release tendencies, though, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this pop up on Kith shelves soon.
