Klay For Life: Klay Thompson Signs a Lifetime Deal with ANTA

Life is good for Klay Thompson. Things were looking rough there a bit after Klay departed Golden State and his championship splash brother, but he’s found a new home in Dallas. Things are looking up on and off the court, with Cooper Flagg already setting the world on fire his rookie season, and a budding romance with rapper Megan The Stallion turning the sharp-shooting Thompson into a tabloid figure overnight. Now, Klay has even more reason to smile, popping out in LA at All-Star Weekend to announce a lifetime sneaker deal with ANTA.

We were on hand in Beverly Hills on Friday for ANTA’s first-ever US retail store opening during All-Star Weekend, where the brand surprised everyone in the building with the announcement of a lifetime sneaker deal for Klay Thompson that will continue past his playing career.

ANTA CEO Samuel Tsui was at the event to present Thompson with a shiny pair of silver KT11s to mark the occasion alongside a display showing the past 12 years of Klay Thompson ANTA history. Thompson was all smiles, wearing a custom “Klay For Life” jacket.

Thompson has been a member of the ANTA family for 12 years now and has sold more than 10 million ANTA shoes, giving the brand plenty of reason to keep him along as long as possible. Is Thompson’s new lifetime deal enough to entice his former backcourt running mate, Steph Curry, to join him and Kyrie at ANTA? Only time will tell.
