Vans is on a hot streak, and the brand isn’t letting up. Amidst a serious run of in-house OTW colorways paying tribute to the luxury lifestyle, a constant dedication to the skate program, and plenty of collabs, the SoCal skate shoe brand is going international, once again teaming up with a Japanese label for new takes on tried-and-true classics.
SoCal to Tokyo
The Liberaiders x Vans Collection is the latest from an ongoing partnership between Vans and Tokyo-based clothing label Liberaiders as part of the company’s new Destination Unknown collection. Taking on a pair of Old Skools and a pair of Slip-Ons, both pairs weave Liberaiders co-branding and Destination Unknown labels throughout.
On the Slip-On, a black ripstop toecap is covered in all-over print white Liberaiders logos before evolving to hairy blue suede on the back half of the silhouette. An icy blue outsole reads ‘Destination Unknown’ to match the label on the white midsole, with ‘What We Do Is Secret Liberaiders’ embroidered on the heel. The Old Skool keeps things simple in black-on-black with a gum midsole featuring the same Destination Unknown branding and a Liberaiders logo on the vamp.
Liberaiders x Vans Collection Release Details
The Liberaiders x Vans Collection will be released July 25, 2026 in Japan through Liberaiders, Vans, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail prices are set in yen, but convert out to approximately $110 for the Old Skool and approx. $105 for the Slip-On.
