LOOK GREAT PLAY GREAT Week 6

We’re just about a third of the way through the 2025 NFL season, so we’ve got a good idea of the direction each team is headed. There’s been some crazy surprises, like the Baltimore Ravens somehow being 1-5, or the Indianapolis Colts looking like a playoff team. While this author’s Washington Commanders lost in the final moments of Monday Night Football to the Chicago Bears, we’re not here to talk about what took place ON the field during week 6. This is LOOK GREAT PLAY GREAT, where we look at the best tunnel fits ahead of each game.

Like weeks prior, Sole Retriever has rounded up our starting 11 of the best pre-game looks. Check below to see who made the cut this week, and head over to our Instagram for a wider list and our top on-field cleat picks of the week.

Abdul Carter

The New York Giants have had quite a lackluster season (even with a shocking win against the Philadelphia Eagles), but Abdul Carter continues to shine, making a case for Defensive Rookie of the Year. He arrived to the Giants’ game against the Birds in a red adidas tracksuit paired with the Red Metallic adidas Harden Vol. 9.

Billy Bowman Jr.

Monday Night Football had two great matchups, with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills squaring off against the Atlanta Falcons. Ahead of the Falcons’ eventual W, Billy Bowman Jr., who was made inactive ahead of the game with some issues with his knee and hamstring, arrived rocking what many will argue is the sneaker of the year for 2025: the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 Retro Brick by Brick.

Brent Urban

As mentioned at the top of this article, the Baltimore Ravens are underperforming big-time. Still, their players have continued to show up on our weekly lists of the best tunnel fits and cleats. Small wins. This is once again the case with defensive end Brent Urban spotted in the Sean Wotherspoon Nike Air Max 1/97.

Cam Robinson

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Cam Robinson left with an injury in the final two minutes of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but at least he arrived in style. Before suffering this knee injury, he entered Acrisure Stadium (or as literally every person ever calls it, Heinz Field) in the red colorway of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low.

Yosh Nijman

It’s not uncommon for NFL players to channel Kobe Bryant’s Black Mamba energy on and off the field, but this is mostly in the late NBA legend’s Nike gear. Yosh Nijman of the Carolina Panthers went against the grain and rocked the recent retro of the infamous adidas Kobe 2, which is now referred to as the Crazy 2 by adidas, in the Silver Metallic colorway.

Tetairoa McMillan

Jordan Brand athlete Tetairoa McMillan has ended up on our list in previous weeks for rocking some Jumpman heat, and he once again cracks our starting 11 for week 6. The Carolina Panthers' rookie WR1 laced up a pair of the Virgil Abloh-designed Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in the Chicago colorway.

Mekhi Blackmon

What a season the Indianapolis Colts are having. After picking up Daniel Jones in the off-season, who the New York Giants got rid of midway through the 2024 season, the Colts now have the best record in the entire league at 5-1. Cornerback Mekhi Blackmon has played a major part in this, and he entered the Colts game against the Cardinals wearing the Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1 Low.

Ji’Ayir Brown

The 49ers couldn’t get past Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, but San Fran’s Ji’Ayir Brown rocked some heat ahead of the game. Entering Raymond James Stadium, Brown was seen in the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Away.

Jahmyr Gibbs

At the start of the 2025 NFL season, Jordan Brand announced that Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs had joined the Jordan family. Since then, he’s been taking the field in Jordan retros and been spotted off the gridiron in the latest Jumpman sneakers. He’s joined Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts as another NFL star who has taken a liking to the recently released Jordan Trunner O/S.

Dorance Armstrong

It wouldn’t be a LOOK GREAT PLAY GREAT without a Washington Commanders player now would it? While the Commanders lost to the Bears with a heartbreaking field goal in the final seconds, defensive end Dorance Armstrong entered the stadium wearing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Converse Shai 001 in the Butter colorway.

Davante Adams

Earlier in the season, Davante Adams was spotted in a special player-exclusive version of the Air Jordan 11 in his debut game for the Los Angeles Rams. While his season hasn’t been that great so far, he’s been with the Jumpman since 2020 and continues to wear retro heat in the tunnel. This week, he was seen in a pair of Black Cat Air Jordan 4s. More than likely his pair is from the upcoming retro release in November and not the 2020 drop.
