When Michael Jordan was taking the court in his final game for the Chicago Bulls during the ‘97-98 NBA Finals, he pulled out the then-unreleased Air Jordan 14. Designer Tinker Hatfield and Nike had told Mike to stick to the 13s, but thankfully, he went against their wishes, cementing the Air Jordan 14 as the shoe he would take his final shot in as a member of the Bulls. Fast-forward nearly 30 years, and MJ’s iconic AJ 14 is getting a mule makeover courtesy of fashion label Mowalola.

Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 Retro Mule Details

Although we’ve seen previews of this pair and three other upcoming colorways, and even had a release of the Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 Retro Mule, official images from Nike of the pair have finally arrived. Mowalola chops the top off the AJ 14 and removes the lacing system to convert the performance basketball model into a lifestyle lounge shoe, adding a stretchy neoprene-backed suede panel to the forefoot.

As for the material choice on the rest of the sneaker, we see the traditional Air Jordan 14 tongue tag display “Jordan” text in a red wine hue to match the footbed, while the upper is done in a patina’d metallic silver leather. Mowalola script covers the lateral side of the upper, just like her standard AJ 14, while the look is complete with a black and metallic silver midsole and a black and red rubber outsole. Special packaging features a silhouetted figure on the lid and a red band running around the edge of the box, while inside is a PVC reusable tote bag containing Mowalola and Jordan logos.

The Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 Retro Mule has already been released via Mowalola’s website, but a wider release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers will take place on September 26, 2026. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
