The Clippers started the season slowly and departed with James Harden before the trade deadline, but heading into hosting duties for All-Star Weekend, the Clippers went on a mid-season run that slotted them right in the top half of the Play-In bracket. As Kawhi Leonard and the Inglewood Clippers look to go on a run into the playoffs, New Balance is adding some extra energy to the cause, officially unveiling Kawhi’s latest signature shoe.
The New Balance Kawhi V first popped up on our radar during Leonard’s strong performance at the All-Star Game, when The Klaw rocked a white-on-white pair of the new silhouette, and the weekend’s sneaker mayhem provided an early look at the two debut colorways. Now, proving that he’s an active participant in his endorsement deals, Kawhi is taking the reins as Creative Director for the first ad campaign for his fifth shoe.

“Working with the New Balance design team on the KAWHI V is a continuation of what we have been building together through the years,” says Kawhi Leonard. “I wanted this model to highlight those first steps, that first burst that you feel on the court. We added details that allow me to perform at the top of my game but also show my creative style.”
