Nike has flipped the switch. We’re still in the middle of the NBA season, but with the World Cup dropping into the US, Canada, and Mexico in just a few short months, Beaverton is joining adidas and the rest of the sportswear industry with a laser focus on the global soccer tournament. After previewing a pack of National Team sneakers and debuting a partnership between Jordan and Team Brazil, The Swoosh is back with new on-pitch kits for two of the three host nations, Team USA and Canada.
The Nike 2026 World Cup Kits were designed to “offer a deep exploration of each federation’s heritage, culture, and identity,” with home kits drawing from past classics and away jerseys crafted with bold designs meant to stand out. On the USA kits, a white base with all-over print red horizontal stripes turns the home shirt into one half of the flag, while a deep blue, almost blacked-out away kit adds all-over print stars to complete the flag blend.
For Canada, the home kit is red with a large maple leaf graphic added to the front of the shirt in split tones to create a half-and-half two-shade mix. The Canadian away jersey is a tribute to the frozen tundra of the north, adding a mix of black, blue, and white cracked ice across the shirt. On all of the kits, National Team patches are added on the left breast, with Swooshes opposite on the right breast. Crafted from Aero-FIT technology, the kits are made for performance with moisture-wicking tech and a lightweight feel. Beyond the fit, the shirts are all made from 100% recycled textile waste.
