Soldier’s Shoes: A’ja Wilson Channels Disney’s Mulan on Her Latest Nike A’Two PE

Disney’s Mulan is a perfect story for a WNBA PE. The story of a woman desperate to fight in place of her aging father, Mulan disguises herself as a man to join the army, where she quickly proves herself as tough, smart, and worthy, no matter her gender. As we know, women are often doubted on the court, but as A’ja Wilson and countless others have shown, the W is here to stay, and only getting bigger.

Hooping for Honor

The A'ja Wilson Nike A'Two Mulan PE is the latest PE pair from the Aces MVP, following a recent PE colorway shouting out another of Wilson’s cartoon favorites, Susie Carmichael from the Rugrats. On the Mulan colorway, Nike didn’t skimp out on the details, adding a dragon graphic to the patent blue upper and a floral lace lock that perfectly fits the theme.

Starting with the same blue as one of Mulan’s robes on the toe and side panels, the shiny patent material adds a black dragon and cloud graphic throughout as a shoutout to her trusty sidekick, Mushu. A mix of jade green and yellow brings in more of Mulan’s outfit shades with a red splash on the side panel Swoosh, adding more Mushu energy.
