Nike Debuts the Air Bakin Low at Paris Fashion Week

Nike has been storming France with a purpose. Starting an internet fire with square-toed Air Force 1s and Air Max 90s, the Paris Fashion Week previews continued with Foamdome Lows, laceless Air Max 97s, Air Max Dulces, and more.

Low-Top Bakin

The Nike Air Bakin Low is the latest new silhouette on the horizon from Beaverton with retro bones. Arriving on the heels of news of the OG Air Bakin’s return, the low-top take keeps the same wireframe-style upper overlay structure as the wavy OG, but changes the shape from heat wave ripples to a stretched-out grid across the side panels.

Seen on a Nike showroom wall in blue and green, the sample pair features story blue suede on the toe with vivid blue mesh backing the rest of the upper. Green leather paneling stretches across the upper in updated Air Bakin fashion, and pink brings more color to the tongue label and midfoot mini Swoosh. Finally, black on the midsole, laces, and sockliner makes the color pop, and a green Air bubble in the heel brings it all together.
