We are still in the early days of 3D printed footwear, but when Nike and Zellerfeld teamed up to print a digitally designed, computer-printed Air Max with an Air unit in the heel, they set a new standard for the industry. That was over a year ago, and the brands have already upped the game with the Air Max 9500, a 3D printed take of the Air Max 95 with multiple Air units across the midsole. The brands are still keeping the AM 1000 in rotation, and the latest colorway is a Christmas-ready callback to the OG drop.

Zellerfeld is one of the more unique brands currently working in the footwear space. In addition to significant, technically progressive work with Nike, the German brand is open to business with seemingly anyone who comes calling. Recently, they’ve crafted shoes for Jaylen Brown’s 741, Justin Bieber’s SKYLRK, and Halo, the 10-year-old son of rapper 2 Chainz, and ensured collaborative style credit at every turn. When you’ve got the best tech in the game, you make your own rules.
The Nike Air Max 1000 Red Atomic Green will be released exclusively through a raffle on Zellerfeld’s website that opens on December 18, 2025, with winners notified on December 22, 2025.
