Nike’s Latest Air Max 95 Celebrates Liverpool, England’s 110 Obsession

Nike has always made its biggest waves in America, pushing everything from Oregon to the globe, but when it comes to the Air Max 95, England might have an even bigger claim on the model than the US. The shoe, affectionately called the 110 for its OG price tag in pounds, has been a staple of the British fashion scene for decades.

From Liverpool to Beaverton

The Air Max 95 Big Bubble Liverpool is a tribute to all things Liverpool, starting with a cloudy split of white, grey, and black mixing across the asymmetrical upper to rep the city’s frigid weather. Starting with a light grey gradient on the lateral side and then switching to a black and dark grey gradient on the medial side, the accent colors pop in teal and orange on the lace loops and tongue logo.

Shoutouts to Liverpool are added throughout, starting with a Liverpool tongue logo on the right shoe and Scouse written into the outsole. The heel adds an LPL hit under the Nike logo, with references to the city’s brick and mythical Liver Bird mascot influencing the orange and teal.
