The Los Angeles Dodgers have a corner on the Japanese pitching market. From current stars like Shohei Ohtani (who is adamant that he will return to the bump next season), Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki to past era greats like Hideo Nomo, Los Angeles has always been welcoming of overseas talent. Now, with the Dodgers on vacation for the winter, Nike is looking forward to next year’s MLB playoffs, with a retro return of Nomo’s Air Max crosstrainer.
Mo’ Nomo
The Nike Air Max NM is a throwback to an era when superstar baseball players like Deion Sanders, Ken Griffey Jr., and more had signature sneakers just like basketball and tennis stars. And while Shohei does have his own New Balance line for the modern era, nothing compares to the days when Air Max tech was crossed over to the baseball diamond.
