Nike Atelier is Dropping a Capsule Collection for French Soccer Star Désiré Doué

The World Cup is underway, and before the French National Team starts its tournament run against Senegal on Tuesday, Nike is showing out for the squad’s young star, Désiré Doué, with a hand-crafted cut and sew collection complete with a Nike Atelier Mercurial Premium sneaker.

Grown-Up Fashion Vibes for the World Cup

Taking the French name for a studio or workshop, Nike Atelier is Beaverton’s handmade outpost, bringing custom tailoring and inspired fashion ideas to the world of sportswear. As Doué gets set to make his World Cup debut, Nike figured the time was right to treat the 21-year-old to some grown-up gear. In an Instagram post announcing the collection, Nike showed off a custom-fitted jacket and pair of shorts, alongside a fashionably black Mercurial Pegasus Premium.

Bringing a bit of sporting luxury to the iconic soccer cleat silhouette, the Nike Atelier Merc Premium features a monochrome black leather makeup with quilted paneling across the entire upper and a fold-over tongue like the cleat. On the sole, Nike borrows the tooling from the Pegasus Premium, which glows in blue to match France’s jerseys, adding some Air Max energy to the shoe.

Nike Atelier for Désiré Doué Collection Release Details

The Nike Atelier for Désiré Doué Collection will be released July 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online.
