Devin Booker has spent his entire professional career soaking in the desert sun in Phoenix, but at heart, he’s still a kid from Grand Rapids, Michigan. So when it comes time to pay tribute to his favorite childhood teams, Book takes it back to The Mitten, celebrating the Detroit Tigers and, yes, the Detroit Pistons.

Booker put up 30 points in a win against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, and adding insult to injury, he brought the franchise back to the 1988-1990 run when the Bad Boy Pistons eliminated Jordan and the Bulls from playoff contention three years in a row. For his latest Nike Book 2 PE, Booker took the Bad Boys logo from the late ‘80s Pistons team and replaced it with his own name for a subtle but perfectly clear reference.

The Nike Book 2 Bad Boys PE was made just for Booker and won’t be released to the public. That said, there are plenty of Nike Book 2s hitting shelves soon, so keep your eye out for new colorways for the end of the season.
