Nike Celebrates the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl LX Victory with Marshawn Lynch Ad

Last night’s Super Bowl LX matchup was one for… well, not really one for the ages. There were zero touchdowns in the first three quarters, with all the scoring coming from the Seattle Seahawks’ kicker. Things did improve in the final 15 minutes of play, but it was pretty clear the Patriots were not going to mount a comeback, especially when Drake Maye threw that interception with eight minutes on the clock.
Sorry New England fans, Seattle was able to secure the victory and take home the Vince Lombardi trophy. The Patriots enjoyed a long dynasty of championship seasons and, in all likelihood, will be back in the near future for more playoff runs. But while the Seahawks can claim they’re world champions, now is the best time to celebrate and rep Seattle.
To commemorate the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl LX victory, Nike released a batch of apparel items online, including a $1,000 Destroyer jacket, as well as an advertisement featuring Seahawks legend Marshawn Lynch. In the spot, Lynch, who played for the Seahawks from 2010-2015 and faced the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX, takes shots at New England.
“Bitter really is an acquired taste. That’s how you know it’s not for everybody,” he says, finishing the 30-second advert with “Nothing tastes as good as getting your lick back.”
