Ja Morant’s bad boy days are over. The newly minted Portland Trail Blazer is taking to the Pacific Northwest with a newfound love for outdoor activities and fresh air. Another breath of fresh air? The all-new Nike Ja 4, a new silhouette to match Morant’s fresh start on the West Coast. Just because Ja has embraced his softer side, though, doesn’t mean he’s ready to let up on the court.
Elm Street Energy
The Nike Ja 4 Nightmare on 12th Street is the first drop of the Ja 4, and with the pair arriving at retailers in mid-August, Nike finally dropped an official set of images of the Freddy Krueger-themed colorway. In addition to the Nightmare on Elm Street reference, a Jaws colorway of the Ja 4 is also slated for release soon, giving the silhouette some extra classic movie energy.

Featuring a dark blue base on the toe and medial side panel, the midfoot lateral side panel switches to a bright green shade that continues onto the heel. In addition to the two-tone mix on the diamond-plated upper, the JA monogram side panel features a shiny iridescent mix of the two shades for a glowing blue-green mix with a gold tint from certain angles.
