The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro truly lives up to the name Protro ethos. Originally released as a mid-top sneaker, the silhouette has seen new life with a new lower cut. With each sneaker starting with the Kobe 4, Bryant’s goal was to make the silhouette lighter and closer to the ground. The blacked-out variant may look to be simple with its monochrome focus, but the mix of materials adds a subtle pop to the silhouette. A smooth leather pops up on the toe box and heel, giving a subtle shine to the pair. The net-like structural panels give a matte look to the whole of the model, and glossy triangular pieces on the lateral heel offer another layer of textures to the silhouette.
