Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Low Black Purple Stardust

Kobe Bryant has a storied history with the Nike Air Force 1, so it’s only fitting that it plays an important role in upholding his legacy. Fresh off his adidas deal in 2002, Kobe showed up to Rucker Park in NYC in a pair of white and orange Air Force 1s that matched his team’s jerseys. A year before officially signing with the Swoosh, Kobe had inextricably linked himself to Bruce Kilgore’s legendary sneaker. Now, the Kobe Air Force 1 has become a staple of Kobe’s line with a wealth of colorways bearing his logo, including the upcoming Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Black Purple Stardust.

Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Black Purple Stardust Details

The colorway inverts the Nike Kobe AD Purple Stardust from 2017, which is set for a comeback this year, with a scaly black faux snakeskin upper fitting for the Black Mamba. A shade of light purple sandwiches the silhouette, popping up prominently on the sockliner and outsole as well as the Kobe sheathe logos on the tongue, vamp, and lateral heel. More purple shows up on the 8 and 24 embroidered on the heel in place of the usual Nike Air logo. The Air Force 1’s signature lace dubrae come engraved with “Mamba” and “Forever” branding on the right and left sneaker, respectively. A clean white midsole adds contrast to the look before flowing into the pastel purple outsole.
