The NBA season is just around the corner, and before we can see players take the court in new threads, we’ve been blessed with a number of sneaker unveils. For LeBron James, who is starting his first of two seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, his 24th year in the league also means the launch of his 24th signature sneaker with Nike. While Bron has teased multiple colorways and even reposted official images of the Greater China LeBron 24, Nike has finally revealed tech specs and design inspiration for The King’s latest sneaker.
Nike LeBron 24 Tech Specs
Starting with the Nike LeBron 20, James and The Swoosh retained the low-top, lightweight build that modern players seek, while straying from what The Chosen One preferred in prior years. That continues with the LeBron 24, as Nike touts it as the lightest in the entire LeBron lineage. Helping achieve this is the new KingKnit upper, a LeBron-specific knit engineered with a unique combination of yarns to deliver a lightweight yet strong, breathable containment system.
Internally, the LeBron 24 features forefoot and heel Air Zoom units that work in tandem with the drop-in React midsole for a cushioned, responsive on-court feel. A midfoot shank adds support, while the traction pattern on the outsole provides the right amount of grip.
“The game keeps getting faster, and we designed the LeBron 24 to meet that moment,” says Dorian Pickens, product line manager, Nike Basketball. “Our new KingKnit material innovation delivers a strong, breathable upper that helps contain the foot through explosive movement. It’s innovation that makes the shoe feel light, fast and secure, giving the next generation a tool to support their game while they write their own story.”
Nike LeBron 24 Colorway Inspirations
Nike has explained that colorways of the LeBron 24 will be organized according to one of the following five principles.
- Wonder: The imagination, confidence and belief to envision what’s possible
- Family: The support, strength and connection that help sustain the journey
- Fear: The ability to turn uncertainty and adversity into resilience, humility, and motivation
- Luck: The understanding that opportunity is often created through discipline, consistency, and work
- Discovery: The self-awareness and growth that come before external success
For example, the Stars colorway falls under the “Wonder” category, which is inspired by the AAU team LeBron played for as a child.
When Does the Nike LeBron 24 Release?
The Nike LeBron 24 in the Stars colorway will be released on November 17, 2026, through Nike and select retailers, both online and in-store. Retail is set at $200 in adult sizes and $175 in GS sizes.
