This Nike LeBron Shirt Calls Out adidas and Reebok for Being Too Cheap in Pursuit of The King

Nike’s LeBron 23 rollout has been an incredible trip down memory lane, bringing out detailed stories from The King’s long and legendary career. On the latest companion t-shirt to the LeBron line, Nike is getting a little personal, calling out rivals adidas and Reebok for fumbling the bag with LeBron’s post-high-school shoe deal, where Nike outbid both brands with nearly $90 million of record-breaking guaranteed cash.

The Nike LeBron Shoe Bag T-Shirt is a study in graphic gloating, starting with an OG Nike shoe box full of cash on the front with the first quote from newly signed LeBron, “I’m a Nike Guy,” above it, and “LeBron James Shoe Bag” underneath. In smaller letters, the follow-up quote, “It’s a long-term thing,” drives the point home.

Adding insult to injury, the back of the shirt features a large Nike logo at the top, circled in hand-written orange, with barely visible adidas and Reebok logos barred out beneath it. For LeBron and Nike both, it was the choice of a lifetime, and that deserves a little bragging.
