Even if you haven’t watched a single frame of an anime series or picked up a manga, you’ve definitely heard of One Piece. The mega-popular anime with over a thousand episodes has been on a collab spree as of late, recently teasing a McDonald's x SpongeBob crossover and landing some flip-tricks on skate decks with Bear Walker. But it’s One Piece’s collab with Nike that we’ve all been waiting patiently for. After being revealed last year and getting teased by Nike’s .SWOOSH division over the last few weeks, Nike has officially unveiled its One Piece collection.

The anchor of the entire collection is three different colorways of the Nike Air Max Plus. We knew the collab would feature this silhouette for months, but we now have detailed looks at all three pairs. Inspiration for the colorways comes from Devil Fruits, specifically the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, and Mera Mera no Mi fruits.

Each pair comes with completely retooled upper patterns to mimic each fruit's appearance and the effects they give to the user. This includes the Mera Mera’s fire-controlling abilities, the Gomu Gomu’s ability to turn the body into rubber, and the Ope Ope’s ability to transport you to the “ROOM.” All three sneakers feature an updated branding detail on the tongue: a Nike-branded Jolly Roger emblem.

“We were inspired by the superhuman abilities that are unleashed when One Piece characters eat the Devil Fruits, much like the feeling an athlete has when they put on a pair of Nikes. We then started reimagining the beloved Air Max Plus in a way that fans of the silhouette have never seen before,” says Nick Remlinger, GM, Energy Gaming, Nike. “As we bring this collection to life, there are even more surprises coming — just like any great adventure.”

In addition to the sneakers, the collab will feature multiple apparel items, and in select regions at pop-ups, customizable Nike By You designs. T-shirts include simple Nike and One Piece co-branded emblems, while others reimagine vintage Nike ads as manga illustrations. There’s also a Nike-branded Jolly Roger emblem inspired by Monkey D. Luffy’s hand-drawn Jolly Roger. Final pieces include matching hats and jerseys for each sneaker and a vest with a Nike-branded Jolly Roger emblem.
