Drake has been a heavy part of the marketing campaign for the new Nike KD 19. Durant and Drake are friends in real life, and considering Drizzy’s NOCTA label is also a part of The Swoosh, the partnership was an easy win for everyone involved, and the general public, who got to enjoy Aubrey's return to acting in two genuinely funny commercials.
The Slim Reaper and the 6th Man
If you thought the Yes Man commercials were the extent of Drake’s involvement in the Nike KD line, you were sorely mistaken. As Nike rolls out the debut KD 19 Candy Pack, NOCTA is working on a Durant collab featuring callbacks to the Slim Reaper’s youth. The collection features a matching set of basketball shorts and long-sleeve shirt in Easy Money Sniper dollar bill print, plus a Montrose Christian KD high school jersey and a graphic shirt with an iconic image of Durant’s first money spread.

The Montrose Christian jersey and matching gym shorts are the best of the bunch, arriving in the school’s green shade with the N, O, C, T, and A from the name popping out in white and the rest of the letters fading back in green. On the graphic tee, a photo from Durant’s high school yearbook is large across the front of the shirt in black and white, with KD throwing up with deuces while he spreads play money in the other hand.
