Go Birds: Philly Skateshop Nocturnal Has a Nike SB Air Force 1 Collab On the Way

Philadelphia is home to one of the world’s greatest skate scenes. And while the iconic LOVE Park fountain gap has been demolished, the city has once again established itself as a skate destination for decades to come, building a new skate-friendly plaza across the street with a little help from Vans. A skate scene is only as good as its local skate shop, though, and Philly has one of the best.

Nocturnal skate shop has been holding it down in the South Street neighborhood for over 25 years, and for its latest sneaker industry collab, the shop is breaking into the big leagues. Seen in a leaked image from the same Instagram page that got hold of the Ben-G x Nike SB Air Force 1 collab early, the Nocturnal pair is the latest from SB’s AF1 shop collab collection.

Featuring an upper done in cement grey soft suede, the pair is reminiscent of the tiles and ledges at Muni, Cecil, LOVE, City Hall, and the rest of Philly’s beloved skate plazas, current and demolished. Like any self-respecting Philadelphian, the pair represents the Eagles with Kelly Green accents on the Swoosh, laces, heel tab, outsole, and Nocturnal logo at the lateral heel. Finally, a black midsole is added for some contrast underfoot.

Is the Nocturnal x Nike SB Air Force 1 Dropping?
